So last week I get a call from Extreme Makeover Home Edition asking if I would be interested in helping out with the build. I gladly accepted and just finished a couple of days of hectic work conditions. I ended up using the bot for a couple carved projects but it could have been used for so much more. Before I left I spoke to two of the lead designers, Didi & Kori, which appear on the show weekly and gave them a business card with 100kgarages.com written on it. Both were thrilled to hear about the concept! I would fully expect them to use this resource in the future. So don't be too surprised if some of you get such a call.
I think this would be a great way to get some national attention for 100kgarages.com. It might only require an email or call from Bill or someone to get it recognized on the show...

Hey John,
Great idea and thanks for talking up 100kGarages. We've made some preliminary contacts with them since they use ShopBotters in many of their episodes, but I'll follow up to make sure that they are all aware of what we're doing.

Congrats John,
I've been hearing bits and pieces about this Makeover,
as its in our daily paper, my cousins son is on a local soccer team and were asked to play against some of the crew.
Which will be recorded and presented to the son of the family.
I'm glad you were able to put that in your portfolio.

Ty Pennington had a shopbot and a shop he shared up by Ed Conneley's shop around canton , north of atlanta. I wish i could remember the guys name that was with him. A few years back i visited it while i was at Ed's camp . The guy told me about Ty's involvement but due to the show and doing promotions for Sears Ty was not there much. He was nice and showed me his shop but for the life of me i just can not recall his name. I know i am old now...

Hey Gene,
That would be me. We still have the shop in Marietta, though it moved to over here by the Big Chicken last July.
I just went to Nashville last week for an Extreme Makeover show.

@ Christian,
A house in a week?
What do they do with the building inspector, bribery?

They probably do truly work on the house one work week but they likely have to edit out 7 months of building and trades inspectors.
Just kidding. I'd like to know also.
