View Full Version : Mahogany Cap rails

These two booths have a inside dia. of 12 foot each. using 5/4 X 11.25" mahogany , most segments are about 35 inch long, a couple are shorter , the 3 center pcs. are 42" long. The lay out/measurement was done, by placing a string across the three ends ot the 2 booths & measure the radius of each one. Will post more pictures

That looks like quite the project. Please post some pictures of the finished project when you're done.

Scott Should have more pictures this week, This job was done on a BT 32 (slightly modified), great machine , not 1 joint had to be recut , took to job site all numbered , glue joints & then assembled

Gene No this is in North Jersey (Discover The East) to open june 1

Got a chance to take more pictures today, The DXF file shows how I did the lay out, the rectangles = the size of material + the radius of curve that would fit on board , also what would fit in BT 32 The straight lines are where the joints are , I used a 3/8" 2 Flute bit @ 3 IPS with .25 step down
