Has anyone else had this problem? I am probing a small carving and it all seems to be going good. I leave the machine for say an hour or so. When I go back, the probe lite is going off and on normally but the carriage isn't advancing. I hit stop to see if it resets and then tell it to resume, but it doesn't help. I have even slighly moved the probe while it is going up and down but that doesn't seem to make the carriage advance. I have had this problem before but I thought it was a problem in my learning process. Anyone else had this problem, and if so, what was the outcome??? Thanks!!!

After having the same problem, I read through the forum and found a discussion that implied that the DOS version of the probing routine is the most stable. I haven't tried this yet, so I can't verify, but it may be helpful to search the forum for previous dicussions about probing.

Okay called ShopBot today. The said my Z-Axis was set too slow. I had it set at .2. I was told to set it at 1 and that should make the problem stop. Guess what?? I tried it twice today and both times the probe would just stop. Completely stop!! No movement what so ever!! Looks like I should talk to someone else. Any ideas???
