how many times have I heard that? if he wanted to could make a single bit it would be very expensive. I have talked too him and making a new bit may require a a whole new machine to grind it.
if you want a custom bit from him he wants a minimum order of several if not a bunch.
and we are talking a type of bit he does not even sell at all. and a far larger bit then he makes as of now.

That is going to be a large diameter bit, almost 5-1/2" diameter ... how large of a machine do you have to 'pull' that bit and 3/4" shaft may be a bit small, IMO.

Ouch...turn down the flame on that blowtorch steve..(just kidding buddy).
I have known in the past when there is enough interst he has started making tools that he didn't normally carry. One example is a 1/16th" endmill that i needed he now carries. I'm not familiar with exactly the tool we are talking about but you are probably right Steve.
You might try http://www.magnate.net/
The largest bit i have used is a 3" bit on a PC router. I'm confused about the size, can't you just take a regular 1/2" shank tool and cut a 22.5 degree bevel on it for a Vbit?

Steve...
Look on this page. I think you can find what you need.

that's the page I found but the bit has a 3/4" shaft. the bit is only 1.5" wide though.
it may be cost effective to get one made not sure yet. bit it would cost less to find it pre made.
even if it did not plunge it would be ok. though plunging makes it easier.

I goofed up I want the steeper 22.5 not the flatter one. not sure what I was thinking there. angles can drive you nuts sometimes.
I am working on this display box for coffee no less. the plans sucked. it looked like the roof was 45. but after I put a sample together it was 46.5 degrees figure that one out.
