Botting is safer than demolition, at least for me. Today we were tearing off a 2nd story deck -- we can't always just cut 3D work.
While standing on the top step of a ladder applying all of my ponderous weight on the end of a pry bar connected to a stubborn nail, the nail decides to let go and I go pot over tea kettle into a chain link fence which bounced me back into the ladder which catapulted my head towards the edge of a cinder block. Call it my guardian angel or dumb luck, I only have a small crease in my forehead.
I look forward to going back to the shop where it is safe(er).
