Carving ornmants on oval project

please I need some advices, my question is: how can I insert and adjust an horizontal mantel(ornaments) as a border in an oval shaped project. thanks for suggestions.

Hi Erik, thanks for answer. I have to work on an oval panel. my customer needs carving border on it. The pattern he chooses is a flower-mantel. It's my first oval project, please I want help to understand how to proceed. thanks..
