I just installed 3.6.10 and tried three times, using the mouse and menu, to run Tools->Setup TS and it finally started executing on the 4th try. My goal was to reset the offset between my spindle and air drill. During execution of this routine you are asked to put the alignment bit inside a 5/8" circle cut in the zzero plate. It lets you use the keypad to do this. Once you have it in the hole you press escape and it's supposed to start executing. Well it exited the keypad and did exactly nothing. Shut it down, restart the computer and try it again. This time it only took 3 times using the menu to get the Tools->Setup to start to execute. At the same point as described above it stopped doing anything, again. Me thinks there might be a problem.

Anyway, going back to previous version.

I just noticed a bug. when I pause the machine and and when I started it again the spindle did not start spinning on it's own. this has happened several times now.

i will be going back today... it would not stop again and drove the spindle right into the bed... needless to say the bit, the collet and the nut are toast.. not really impressed right now..

Mitch,

Make sure you talk to ShopBot support about the damage to your machine from the 3.6.10 software.

Steve, I am running 3 5 15....when I pause the spindle continues running. when I continue I have a prompt to start the spindle, but it is already spinning.
If I quit the spindle then stops.
Seems quite right to me except for the prompt.

the little bit older versions would stop the spindle and then start it. myself I want it to stop sometimes I need to clean plastic or aluminum shavings from the bit.
