Cable Connections

What type of cable is used between the computer and the bot computer on the upgrade? Have laptop with USB and PR has a serial cord. What does the PRT have.

PRT has a Serial cable

You can get a USB to serial converter for the laptop. However, be sure to check with us at ShopBot for the specific brands to use. They do not all work alike and some will not connect properly to the 'bot control box.

As far as I know, the Belkin brand ones DO NOT work. I believe that most other ones do (USB to Serial)
