The veterans already know this, but I've only been botting for barely a year. Lots of sign foam HDU lately. Haven't bothered to look inside that Z area to see how that rack & pinions looking. Well wouldn't ya know it decides o get crazy shortly after mounting up a $500 sheet of 2" sign foam.
So i take a look in there and holy toledo I can barely see the teeth on that rack! So I cleaned it up good. I used a toilet bowl bristle cleaner and man did that work great. I could get in from the bottom and the top to clean the dust out. Sprayed a little Chain Lube in...good to go!
