I just got back into running my bot.

I'm getting old... I already forgot stuff from a month ago!!!

I miced a bit at .248 and made a test part in PW3.
The part should come out exactly 8x11 square.
It came out 8.0625 x 11.0625.

I forget what to do.
Do I set the bit 1/32 bigger in PW3?

Or?

Thanks!!!

I think you need to tell the machine the bit is smaller if the part was cut too large?????
You would tell the software the bit is half the distance you want so in this case 1\32 smaller
Hope it works,
I understand exactly where you are and we all do it even when we just ran the machine yesterday
Good luck

Guys,

I'm going to come clean on this one... no matter how much it hurts....

I usually measure important stuff from 1 to whatever.

Today I used the edge of the tape.
I was cutting a lot of 2x4s over the weekend with a skil saw and I guess it stuck.

But I did use the allowance in PW set to -.031 and the parts came out exact to what I thought I needed.

I quickly realized I was measuring wrong... set the allowance back to 0 and had perfect parts again!!!!

Major DOH!!!!!!

At least you still had the end of the tape, I was on the chop saw Monday and, yes you guessed it, cut the end of the tape off. I needed a new one anyway.
