i have had a lot of files run by james so how he quotes is somthing i will leave to him, i will say i have paid as little as 25 and as much as 300. he returns quotes pretty quick and the quality is always perfect, he also has been known to out source some of mine due to how quick i need them, i am sure this affects pricing as well. here is the original photo i sent him

A 3D clipart resource that I am just beginning to explore is the Google 3D Warehouse.

http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/

Everything's free and the quality ranges from useless to stunning -- there are even corporate contributions such as the Corian Color Palettes from DuPont or models made by the Kohler company. Do you want to carve a replica of the Pennsylvania State Courthouse? Or a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar Jet? They're in there.

I searched for basketball hoop and came up with 122 hits. Shoes returned 482 possibilities. People... well, that's a little harder, but some can be found. Note that these are all editible using Google's Sketchup (also free).

The only trick is that you have to have an intermediary software, which will import Sketchup and export it to something compatible with ArtCAM, Aspire, etc. I use VectorWorks (not free, unless you're a student in the U.S.) I'm hoping that the ArtCAM, etc. people add Sketchup imports at some point in the future.
