Giving credit where credit is due...

COMCAST

I have 2 digial boxes in the house and Internet.

With many of the upper stations going to Digital (CNN, and the like) and I have older cable televisions, Comcast is giving each customer 2 Mini-digital-modules to support seeing channels above channel 7 up to 66 that will be converted to digital channels from the old analog style.
(OK... my 1988 TV still works)

SO I called to get the two boxes (one will go into the shop... shhhhh don't tell anyone).

I went to pick up the box and the Customer Service person is looking at my bill making faces and she said.... "How would you like to save some money?"

She said that the package configuration was horrible... If you get the phone, you get free digital boxes, free phone, free HBO and will cut the bill around $25-$30 a month and if they charge the setup fee (29.99) just give her a call and she will remove it from the bill...

so I walk out of the store with a phone number, and several new toys witha cheaper bill...

Delta Faucet

SO then later on Saturday (yesterday) the delta faucet that I installed 2 years ago, bit the dust... I went to Ace hardware, bought a new one for 159. + tax and replace it.... there on the box is the words LIFETIME WARRENTEE and a number.. I called ad beedamned if the fellow on the end of the line says that there was problems with it, sorry for the problem, gave me a case number and as soon as the get the broken one, a check for the faucet, mass tax and shipping will be on its way within a week.

It was a very good Thanksgiving...

Yea Bob,
Its just you.
I got two boxes from comcast to see the digital channels and can not watch the same thing on both sets. I had to pay 2.50 a month for the second box and when i asked about being able to see the same channel on both sets they said that cost 7.50 a month extra.

Watch out for the promotional deals. The real price hits you in 3, 6 or 12 months. I got a call from Charter wanting to know if I wanted to save money. I got a great deal and was real happy to be saving the extra money then in 12 months the price doubled. I called and they said the first 12 months was the promotion price. The rep said that they had some specials again, so I asked what they had and after a minute I was told that I wasn't eligible because I was at the top tier that they offered. I removed some of the services that I didn’t really use. I’m back down to normal price if you can it normal.
