Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent shipping company? ...one that A, won't damage the thing, and B, has reasonable rates? I am looking to get a PRT 48x96 shipped accross the country asap.

Check with Both UPS and FedeX for LTL loads, we have used both with good results.

I use freightquote.com for LTL shipments. Scott Bauer is my rep (800) 323-5441 x 1675. Call and talk to him about special handling needs. He found me a truck that took some Walnut cabinets from Ohio to Florida non stop no transfers.

If you can palletize or crate for a forklift, YRC (Yellow-Roadway freight), offers some very attractive shipping rates. See www.YRC.com (http://www.YRC.com) .

Fedex and UPS are both great and offer good initial discount rates. We've shipped a lot of very large, odd shaped entrance monuments with Fedex with no problems.
