Looks great.

One question...Is it centered? When the router turns does the tip warble at all?

Thanks,

RIB

You don't run the router just let the pen do all the work.

This goes back a few years, Roland XY plotter, note multi colors... and pen changer...

Could it be converted to a router ?

I took that spring and loaded it in as you see in previous pic and that pushed the marker down against the inside lip if the brass pipe.
Then when i zero'ed it to the surface i pushed it down .03-.05 so it made contact. There is little pressure or resistance so there was no wobble because the whole thing is only about 4" long.
I made 2 toolpaths one for the layout the other in red for the electrical. All i had to do was unscrew the bottom fitting and change out markers.

We used to use the old pen plotters daily to plot architectural drawings for the projects we built (mine was an Ioline 3600 that I did actually convert to a vinyl cutter later). I was always very surprised how long the ink supply of the little tiny plotter pens would last us.

Plotting with a full size sharpie would likely be even better. Good Job!

Neat,
What program did you do the drawing in? Is that a small sharpie permament marker ? What size is the brass tube the marker is in? Good Job

Thanks Jack! I was looking for an inexpensive way of doing this. Results look great!
