does anyone know of a website that explains how to use a digitizer tablet to take some of the guess work out of one before i buy one. i would be doing very simple designs off of a hand drawn sketch. to save some time, scanning is not the way i want to go. i think i read you have to set it up each time you use it? i would be using a cad software that works with a digitizer. remember nothing fancy here like maps etc.... just retcangles with a few arcs. any and all info would be great. THANKS!!

PS what is the date of the shobot windows release??

Bob, I bought a Wacom Tablet with a 6" x 8" drawing area to do exactly what you are doing. In my case, I wanted to accurately trace individual curves in half hull models. Works great in ArtCam Pro, Vector or Turbocad. I haven't used it as much as I thought I would but when you need it, it's great. I've had no problem in setting it up each time. I connect via a usb port and it's ready any time I need it. Check out the Wacom Site.
