Super slow preview of tool path

I am getting super slow previews of my toolpaths. Any idea what is causing this?

Are you doing this on your design computer or computer that runs the bot? Do you have any other resources running? Is it herky-jerky slow or uniformly slow? Maybe check your memory usage?
Check
System/system properties/performance options then tick the "advanced" tab and check there (this is under windows xp).
