Makng a drag knife

Hey Folks. I have seen somewhere on here where someone made a drag knife. I realize widget works sells one and I may end up buying it but I have to admit I find the price steep considering what it is. I have 60 degree blades. I cut some last week using a router bit and it was good on cedar but hdu was not as good due to inconsistent thickness in material.

the key to good results is the ability to very precisely control the pressure. That's why (at least for me) the widgetworks knife is not really expensive compared to what I would spend on parts and R&D to make my own. not to mention time.

But good luck and definatly post if you come up with a better soultion.
