I see that the SB control window shows the Cut Time Elapsed... Is there any place that shows the Cut Time Remaining?

There have been times that I wanted that as well. Ultimately, I had to resort to math.

I wish. the way to really get an idea of cut time is to run the toolpath in preview mode. that will let you know for sure. then as chip said math after that.

Yeh, I guess if SB could add it to the wish list. Seems like it would be fairly easy to add.

I use this as a mental game I play with my bot. When She tells me she has cut 6% in 24 minutes I make it a game to see how close i come to getting it right by doing the math and on 3d cut files i go inside and come out close to the time to be done.
But more often then not I simply forget the darn thing is running and come out hours later especially during footbal season.

btw- the answer is 6 hours 38 minutes 32 seconds
give or take a par-sec or two as long as you are using as your power source a flux capacitor with the capacity of 1.21 jigawatts.

The 3.6.x control software seems to have all kinds of problems with many, many people.

I hope ShopBot doesn't try to add any more features until the basic functionality is stabilized so people can get confidence back in their machines again.

I use Jacks game,,,,,percent complete ,,,,time left.
I also use WAG and EWAG method.
When I cut 3D files at 10 IPS I take the number of lines and move the decimal 5 places.
164861 lines = 1.64 (1 hour 64.8 min) or 2 hr 5 min. I use it for files from the same customer as all the jobs are cut in HDU and can run at 10 IPS. Not sure if it should work but it does for me. Also parts are long enough so the bot can get up to speed.
