Hi everyone,
Has anyone got experience with these two 3d scanners? Nextengine for $3.000 or davidlaserscanner for 400 Euro.
I am considering to buy one of them.
What are the differences in scanning result?

Have a look at this thread for the david setup.

I think it's like most things in life, you can do it yourself, learn a bit more than you really want to and save a load of money or just buy it already done.

I'll be going for the Next setup sometime soon but only because I'm pushed for spare time.

I have the nextengine scanner and it works very well. The problem is the support. I have had a lot of issues with the support and getting responce to questions ask. They felt that telling me how to get the scanner to run on Vista was a major thing. They said they would let me know when I could upgrade to the new HD scanner and they didn't. Great scanner poor support.
Thanks

Just as an FYI, if anyone is thinking about ordering something from the David scanner folks, I just got an email from them saying that they are giving 10% off of all purchases from now until Jan 6th.

p.s. I have never used the David scanner so this is NOT a recommendation or endorsement...just trying to pass on info on savings.
