We are looking for someone who has put together or moved their shopbot to help us move ours. We are in Wilmington NC. Anyone? Or any advice if you've done it?
Thanks!

I bought a used one and brought back on a trailer. Just took the gantry and layed it on back of the van.

Here are past discussions about moving bots.

Mary, We just moved ours last Saturday. With the help of four trailer jacks, borrowed ramps, and a big trailer it went better than I expected. I did alot of things wrong I'm sure, like not unhooking the wires from the control box, but did raise the gantry off of the x rails with blocks I made, then tied it off with plastic strapping, along with the y car. Set the control box on foam rubber and strapped it down inside a trash bag. Jacked it up and rolled it onto the trailer. Tied it down and 30 miles later it was home. Only wish I could have gotten the trailer closer for loading, it kept dragging on the driveway, but just rolled the bot into the street and loaded from there. Finally plugged it in this morning and the only problem was with the zero plate, fixed now and even got some test cuts done today.

Well, we are finally about to have to move this thing. Thanks so much for all the links and advice. Is there anyone in the area (Southeastern NC) who might like to make a few extra bucks helping us move it and/or helping us get it all back together correctly? My email is mary at storklady.com if anyone is interested.
Thanks!
Mary
