I posted this exact same question in the indexer section without one reply. Maybe no one can answer my question but I hope so. I realize this is not the correct section but I must try. "Okay I am seriously looking at purchasing the indexer. I have a question as to the two units offered by ShopBot. I know of the differences between the two units offered. I want to know if anyone out there have used or purchased the more expensive unit. If so, was the price difference, which is twice the price, worth the added expense? Would you do it again?"

Looks like shopbot could give you contact info for someone who has purchased the larger indexer.

Good idea Ken. I may just do as you suggested. David as I stated, I put this question up two weeks ago in the indexer forum without any results. I am surprised with receiving absolutely no posts.

Daryl...I had not replied to the original post inthe indexer column because i couldn't give you specific info that could help you.

I bought my indexer from shopbot new when i bought my prt alpha in 2006. I got all the compponnents from them the controller, motor, wiring and i (think but don't recall for sure) that it was around $1495.00. It could have been $2495.00 (failing memory...thats why i didn't post!)
I have turned 8 foot long columns with no problem.
