Hey "People in Charge",

Here is a idea that I had, are there anyway to let us on the forum know when you have updated or added something of interest to us on your shopbottools.com website. Like David's corner, Bill's and others pages. We all get so busy here that you really forget to check the regular website for more information and then we have to filter through everything just to find it and I'm sure we miss a lot of information and we wouldn't if we were told that the info has been updated or that something new has been added. You could just post it in a thread section titled Updated Happenenings at ShopBot.com or something like that. What do you all think.

Thanks,
Jeff

Have you tried subscribing to the RSS feed - red box in lower left corner of www.shopbottools.com (http://www.shopbottools.com) homepage? We try to keep that current for major additions.

I'll give that a try.

Hey Jeff,

We're also looking into creating a place to consolidate some of those sorts of things: things that might not be a good fit for the web page for one reason or another but would quickly be lost on the forum. Like notices of new versions of the Control software, blog reports from the Camps or describing new items in ShopBot Labs, information on neat projects that ShopBotters have done, and some stuff that we might have just stumbled on and found interesting enough to pass on.

You can see a preview here (http://blog.shopbotwiki.com/) to get an idea of what we have in mind. Items are tagged so that you can selectively pick the postings that you're interested in if you want...maybe just software (http://blog.shopbotwiki.com/?cat=4) or Buddy (http://blog.shopbotwiki.com/?cat=9).

Bill, I thought that that was what the wiki was for?

Hey Ralph,

I guess in our minds at least the wiki is like an online ShopBot encyclopedia, and the new "ShopBot Happening" blog is more like an online ShopBot newsletter...mostly news, notices, and opinions.

Hey Bill,

Like that idea too. I still think that you need to link the blogsites from the forum so that people don't forget to check them out, maybe you could just add the links to the wiki, blogs, project wizard sites all located in one section so that we might click on it while we are nosing around. I guess I just don't want to miss anything, LOL.

Thanks,
Jeff

Bill,

Great work on the videos!
I think a great choice on the voice used as the voice-over. I find some of the voices used on some of these software training videos on youtube quite contrived and almost hard to listen to.
Your videos sound like a typical shopbotter is giving the lesson (that is if there were such a thing as a typical shopbotter).

Great work.

That voice-over would be Bill himself.

Hey Brian,

Glad you like them...they're fun to do. I must admit, though, that the narration is the toughest part of it for me and that listening to myself on the videos is painful! Glad to hear that it isn't for everyone.

Bill,

I have enough problems making a greeting on my voicemail.

Is there a PRS Assembly video on the Horizon?

Thanks,
Brian

Hey Brian,

PRS assembly is definitely on the list for videos, along with a bunch more Buddy videos.
