I need to see some pics of how to set up multiple shopbots in one shop. I may be possibly ordering multiple bots for mass production. There is just too much wiring, ducts, computers etc. to figure out. I need a head start as to what I will be looking at doing.

Thanks,
William Moore

There is a cabinet maker.. Gary Cambell (I think??)
He is running 4-5 I believe. Ill double check the name and edit this.

(edit) its not Gary Cambell.. Someone will chime in with the correct name.

Hi William,

I have 2 PRS tools in my shop and you can get an idea of the way I set things up in this model in the Sketchup 3d warehouse:

I've also got an older PRT benchtop that isn't shown in the model...it on the right side near the dust collector.

I work mostly with full sheets of plywood and that layout makes pretty good use of the space, but it would be more efficient to work with if the tools were further away from the end wall with the computers, so that you could load the uncut sheets from one end and unload the cut from the other. Unfortunately this building is too small to do that and still have room for material storage, so this is what we settled on.

You can get a better idea of the shop layout and flow in this youtube video taken during the cutting of the MoMA house.

Hope this helps,

William,
Joe May is running ( at least) TEN Shopbots in his cabinet business. There are a few pictures on the Shopbot web page ; http://www.shopbottools.com/files/press/WoodModeFDM06Mar.pdf

Thats bill, he made that cool puzzle house. Along with some really cool boats

But there is also a cabinet maker that uses 4-5 shopbots.

The two larger tools are a PRS96-48 and a PRS 96-60, but the smaller tool is an older PRT benchtop, not a Buddy
