Simple math help needed

I lost all my bookmarks for refreshers in a HD crash and my brain is worse then my HD when it comes to retaining stuff.

Simple math question. I have a column that has a diameter of 5 inches, i want to figure the circumference.
Do I multiply the diameter by pi=circumference?
5"x3.14=15.70" circumference
