Due to an increase in spam on both forums. We have begun to BAN IP's, and made the registration process so that admin approval is necessary before you can do anything on the forum.

AOL user's if you have an issue because of the banned IP's just shoot Bill Y. or me an e-mail and we'll get it fixed for you.

This is all just a temporary fix until we get some anti-spam filters and procedures in place, which we are working as this is being typed.

I would like to register on the 100K Garages site. I am at least a 3rd owner of a SB machine, what info does SB need for me to register with them?

Hey Gene,

I don't know for sure what info ShopBot needs to register a used tool to a new owner, but if you give them a call at 888-680-4466 I'm sure Pam can get you connected to the person that does.

Gene,

Your machine was originally a shopbot demo machine in Durham. Gary at Shopbot bought it after they came out with the PRT, then it ended up at his brother-in-laws in Missouri. Bill and I bought it there and moved it to NW Arkansas and later Bill moved it to central Arkansas, and now it's in Baja so it's gotten around.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info.

Ken, sorry for not calling or e mail...I had a 5 week mandatory vacation after a freak shop accident, severed tendons and nerves but rehab is going great and I have been working part time with the Bot...my kids and I named her "Betty". We are very happy with how well this machine runs. 3D carvings with Cut3D come out really well not to mention the signs we have done. Ken, thanks again for all of your help.

Jack...I agree with your post. This is our first CNC machine and we are amazed at how well it runs for its age. Hopefully we will be able to purchase a PRS within 6-8 months. With this being the only CNC in our area we have generated a lot of interest with clients for carvings and millwork.

Thanks Angus.

Ken it was a 2 1/8" spur bit in a Templaco door handle boring jig...the door stile split/broke the jig moved off of the stile and hit my right arm just below the watch band and went to the bone...4 hr surgery to repair, luckly me I am left handed. As I said rehab is going very well and I hope to recover 90% use/strength by end of sept. An extended summer vacation
