I got my old PR back after about 8 years...

Yesterday the PC that was with it crashed, and I did not get the values.

Does anyone know what the values should be for the motors and gears?

I have the PK296A1A-3G3.6 DC 1.5A 2.2 Ohms .05/step motors, and the gears have 20 teeth.(If I counted correctly).

The Z motor is PK268-02A 1.8 step and it has the ball screw.

I have loaded the newest software for this version (2.38sx)and updated my control software.

So when I get it to move 1" it just keeps moving and moving. I have to shut off the outboard power supply.

Can anyone help me here? I have a usb wireless keyboard and mouse if that matters.

Thanks,

RB

I think these were my old values for my PR

X = 159.1531
Y = 159.2832
Z = 2000

not real sure how the z was put in
Hope this helps you get started

I swapped out the wireless keyboard for a wired one and that fixed the continuous movement problem.

I am using the default settings for the X, Y, and Z.

I have not checked the travel yet.

Jerry why would the X and Y be different values?

I am getting an error when I cut a circle.
It stops and give me speed set error 15.

IT also looses connection with the machine at the same time.

Anyone know about that?

Thanks,

RB

Try once again downloading and reinstalling the ShopBot software even though you just did that. Twice I've solved different but similarly vexing problems with my 9 year old PR.

Also check your speed settings to see they're not too fast as that will cause a PR to not move as it should and so distort such things as circle cuts.

I once had bad circle cuts and discovered a bad connection to one of my x stepper motors, so only one of the two x steppers was working. I fixed the connection and it fixed the problem.

Thanks for the help.

I will try to reinstall, and double check the speed settings.

It does not have a problem with the arrow keys though.

I am wondering if there is a setting in windows?

reinstall the shopbot control software.
