Anyone know of a mister attachment for the shopbot ?? Is shopbot a good choice for metal and acrylic ?

Any generic mister will do the job. Check with McMaster, Enco or MSC.

Depends...what gauge AL are you looking to cut? How are you going to hold the material down? I have cut both AL and acrylic on my Bot. One thing to note is that it is not designed a metal mill, but it can cut thin gauge AL with the right setup. Coolant is not usually needed. Compressed air is a good alternative...again, it depends on what you are cutting.

Thanks Brady. We are needing to cut 1/8" - 1/2" Aluminum, Brass to 3/8" plus acrylics. Vacuum hold down, tape assist if needed. Sounds like we are going to need a more serious machine. Was impressed with its wood cutting abilities though.
