Hey guys, I think it is time for a replacement fan in the spindle. (2.2) I have the part.
The fan stuttered a couple times yesterday when I first started up. After that, about 10 minutes, I cut a few sheets with no problems.
Also my input 2 on the software was shutting off a couple times.
Any experiences and advice on changing the fan?
I see there are 2 wires. Do they have to be soldered?
Can the fan be replaced with the spindle in place? I HOPE ! ! ! Any ideas on the # 2 input turning off and on a few times?
Thanks for any input.

David...
On a PRS input 2 is the X prox. Can I assume your limits are off? Maybe you have a bad prox or a loose wire that is going open intermittently.
Cant help on the fan

it is a bit of a pain to change because of the plug. I finally just cut the wires and added a plug to the fan and the built in plug.
here is the fan you need Tubeaxial 8300 DC 80x32mm 24v 6.0w Fan NEW 8314H

so the existing fan is installed via a plug?
the replacement has no plug on it. What kind of time was involved to swap out the fan Steve.
Gary::: limits off? I had no idea I could turn them on or off......something I should be aware of? I tell ya, 2 1/2 years of cutting parts and I realize daily how much of a newbie I am.

if you skip taking off the original plug and soldering on the new wires it is fast. but taking apart the plug is a pain. just splice the wires and your done. took me a hour to take it all apart and get it all back again.

so I have the replacement fan. Turned on the bot today, no issues at all with the fan. Ran all day. Also No blinking of input 2.
Thanks for the help. I at least have the part when needed.

I have been after the same brand of fan. but when I get them off of ebay they are not the same brand as pictured. I guess I will have to pay more for one.
