Hey guys, I've been busy here and I hope everyone else is as busy as they want to be. Hadn't posted in a while and wanted to say hello.

Hello.

It's hard to beleive the year is so far along. It seems like only a week or so ago Bill P. was here talking to about 40 botters. With all the activity time has flown by. For those that visited, my little girl did get her a new horse, a 15.3 hand throughbred ex-race horse named Charlie. I have been reading the forums and keeping up with whats happening trying to post when I can say something relevant. I've completed several projects but mostly have been building bat houses (surprise). Then the family stuff kicks in and watching my little girl work with an animal that is more than 15 times her weight has been a great past time too.

These all have one thing in common...

8704

They are all sold. There are 4 in paint now and 5 just shipped 2 days ago. Just when I think I'm ahead building... someone buys them all. Which is fine by me. If you measure progress and usage in 55 gallon drums of saw dust then I dumped 3 last week.

The bot has held up great and after the tune up things are precise except a little slop in the Z axis I'm working out now. I'm also a little paranoid about my spindle and plan to replace the bearings in it. Otherwise, going strong.

Well, I hope this finds everyone well and if anyone is driving by, give me a call and come say hello.

THATS NEVER STOPPED YOU IN THE PAST!!...LOL

Hi Harry...I'm glad to hear about someone busy instead of stories of guys out of jobs to do, good for you. I'm wondering though, at least around here we have gotten alot of rain which has increased the mosquito population and i wonder if factors like that have a bearing on your sales?
Maybe if you can target areas that get more rain and advertise there if that might help? I have talked to you in the past about getting bats around my house but wonder if you may be trading one problem for another with any kind of bat diseases?
Plus my biggest fear is that they will swoop down and nest in your hair like i was told as a kid, or bite you on the neck? lol
Glad to hear you are busy.

Jack, you're talking about bats, is what's pictured above bat houses? I've been thinking about making bat houses. Where I'm at the mosquito population is out of control!

Harry (Robert)above is the expert and he can tell you anything you want to know about bats because he's "batty"! Go to his site for more info: http://www.habitatforbats.org I don't think he wants to share any of his designs but with a little research you probably can find a design you can make. They don't look that complicated.

Hey Robert

I good to hear all is well down south.

Things are not so rosey up here in the NorthEast.
But,the phone has started ringing( a least twice)
in 6 months.
And we are finally having summer!
90+ today-first time this year

Erminio - I've been reading about the wild weather. Around here it's been a little milder than many summers I remember but mostly along the norm. We have had a good bit of rain but surprisingly little severe weather. Glad to hear the phone is ringing, keep on going. When things do recover there will be fewer to fill the greater demand!

Courtney - feel free to email me off forum if you have questions. Jack is right, there are many designs available and I can refer you to a good book to buy.

Jack - what can I say, you're Jack. :-) Hope things are going well for you.

The bot and I are still going after 3 years and looking for 3+ more!
