New control software 3.6.11

As much complaining as I have done about the new software giving trouble, I want to thank Shopbot for fixing it.

For all those that tried the sb3.6.xx versions and went back, it is safe (my opinion)to go back into the water.

3.6.11 has been treating me very well. No keyboard commands ignored and running files smoothly. Even on the old pc.

Does anyone know if there's documentation on how to do a clean install of the control software? If there isn't, are the steps straightforward enough that someone could list them here? On several occasions I've rolled back to earlier versions, and realize this has the potential to cause issues.

I've seen this question posed several other times, without response, and would guess that a number of us would benefit from having this process in print. I do know that I can call SB to have them walk me through this, but haven't as yet. Thanks.

Nat, I think the main reason of this is becaues every pc is different and requires different instructions. XP and vista take much different approaches to clean up.

On XP The shopbot.ini file need to be removed as well as the shopbot pieces in the register.

There are some notes on this in the read me file with the download, but the safest way would be the phone call.

The best thing to do is call Shopbot and talk with Ryan on how to do a cleanup and installation. I'm not sure if they are going to post any instructions on how to do it or not.
