Paul...
For something that moves as much as the Bot does, we use the light to medium duty product with a wire in it for grounding. The heavy wired product and the all plastic versions seemed too stiff.
Many places have this, Penn State has one pictured: http://www.pennstateind.com/store/D08C.html

I use hose from Rockler:

it has wire reinforcment that can also be used to ground the system.

I bought some of this 4 yrs ago (its about doubled in price) but its good stuff. It looks like dryer exhaust hose only the plastic is thicker and pretty tough.

Just a thought ...
A good friend of mine runs a local woodworking store and he stopped by recently to help us determine why our 2-hp dust collector didn't seem to be pulling very well.
His recommendation was to eliminate as much flex hose as possible because the ribbed inside causes restriction, and to use rigid 4" PVC pipe with angles less than 90-degrees as much as possible.
We did that, and it made a HUGE difference!
Hope this helps.

the hose has to be imported. so need one that will
last, or import a couple.
thanks paul

I hope that you have a ground wire inside your pvc . Using pvc pipe for a dust collector is asking for a dust FIRE or EXPLOSION from static electricity. I have used metal snaplock ac duct for dust collectors and it works good as pvc with no static dangers

Thanks Gene!
My PVC is grounded, and we mostly cut plastics which are not as subject to combustion as wood dust.
Paul - the way we grounded our PVC was to put 3/4" screws into every glued-up joint, and then to wrap a copper wire around the pipe and under the screw heads. Since the screws are sticking out on the inside of the pipe just a bit, this provides a way to ground both the outside and the inside without catching debris.
