Is anyone still having problems with the 7518 (new)heating up,mine has just restarted again (1 hour no load 47 degree c)
So i was fed up and priced a wilwaukee 3.5hp and thank god told the supplier what was going on with the porter cable .He said don't buy the wilwaukee as it is not a true 3.5 but more like 1.5hp.He said to stick with PC and find the right bearing.Sine black and decker took over PC stuff quality and care has changed a lot.
I have 2-7518's new and 1 7519 220volt and they all heat up ,get this PC says the bearings are ok for <19-20k,i run mine at 19k if i go max speed i get 57 degrees c in 1 hour

Where are you measuring this temperature at on the router? How are you measuring the temperature? What is your ambient (room) temperature?

Mine does it at different times on different projects and i can't figure it out. Many times the collet and bit are so hot you can't touch them while the router is just warm after a 15 min rough cut on a 3d file with a .25 bit. Other times its barely warm after working for an hour. No consistent pattern i've figured out yet.
