Digital Phase Converters vs. Rotary, Static and VFD's

I'm looking at upgrading to a spindle in the 2.5 to 4 hp range plus I have a 3-phase, 230v European combination machine with 6.6 hp motors on order. Pretty much everything I'm reading suggests that digital phase converters such as Phase Perfect are the best choice compared to VFD's, rotary and static converters. Is anyone using one of these? Pricey no doubt?

I've got two that I use everyday one 40hp and a 25hp
both are rotary and I like them got about 2500.00 in each email off the forum and I'll give the name of the place where I got them from really good people to work with
