Not as bad as it sounds. I am working on some wildlife scenes and I can not seem to find any files for ground cover. I have a grass file on my carvewright but can not import it into aspire. Does anyone have a link for some sort of gound cover? thanks

For 2D images, go the this VectorArt webpage and do a search for grass. You will get about 15-20 images. If you see one you like, you can purchase it individually for a few dollars.

Probably not so easy to find 3D ones. One of the included 3D cliparts with Aspire is a Cat Tails image. You could probably use the modeling tools to make this look more like grass and then create a larger image.

I took a picture of some bark and just ran it as a background in Aspire.

I have done similar backgrounds with wheat and clouds.

Dennis,
I see you are also a CarveWright owner as I am.
In a few words, what drove you to the SB system (Pros/Cons)?
I am seriously thinking of moving to a SB also and would appreciate your thought/comments.

Hey George, I love the carvewright. I love the simplisity of the software and I love the results but I want to incorporate the whole idea into a more serious business instead of cool christmas presents. I thought I would take a leap of faith and see what happens. The software is much harder to learn but sofar the finished product is far superior and much quicker. The 3D pre made pieces are three times the cost of the carvewright files. I bought the alph 96/60 with a spindle router. Again much more but I think it will make money.

Dennis,
Thanks for your candid comments on the CarveWright machine vers ShopBot.
They were very helpful.

I tried a Cavewright machine before I ended up with a use Shopbot. There is really no comparison as the Shopbot does more than raster cutting and is more robust. The Carvewright has it's place but not for the enthusiast.
