If I had about $300 to spend with Shopbot...

What would you get if you already had the spindle control board, relay board, digitizing probe, mega collection 1 and Cabinet Parts Pro. I've looked on the website, there are a few things that would be useful but not really thrilling for me.

Are there any hidden upgrades? Things that don't show up in the products or pricing lists?

It looks like your greatest need is for a consultant. It just so happens that, as a consultant, I charge $300 per hour to help people find the best way to spend their money. Give me a call and I'll help you find a use for that money.

I would buy Morris Movey's Super Zero and have a few $$ left over for coffee.

Mike... too late, your offer was tempting... so tempting in fact I hired a consultant to see if it would be viable. His fee was $300 leaving me with a course of action and no money to implement it.

I've been looking at the diamond drag knife... just can't convince myself what I'd do with it.

Sell me your digitizing probe for $150, buy a new one with the money from the sale, plus a portion of your $300. I will have saved you $150 off a brand new probe.

As much as I've never used my digitizing probe... I probably should sell it... but alas I do use it occasionally to transfer an outline.

Hey Harry...you know what $300.00 buys you? Nowadays not even $100.00.

I think you could cobble together a DIY indexer for around $500.00, email Jay Wyant he might have dollar figures. That would give you a tool that you would get far more use out of than some of the accesories.
BTW- have you ever heard of "white nose" disease in bats? It seems to be happening to bats in caves around here.

I have a laser center finder, I should probably post details one day.

I know what you mean... but at least $300 today will fill my truck with fuel 3 times rather than once.

Good suggestion Jack, but I have a credit with SB and want to spend it. I'm leaning toward the 3D pack or another Mega Collection at the moment. I'm not in a hurry... nothing just knocks me off my seat and says "I gotta get that!" I was actually hoping some folks might suggest some "hidden" upgrades, stuff that is available but doesn't appear on the website.

I have heard of white nose disease. If you visit our website you can find links about it. I did a recent update to our website. We are going to begin using all Cypress for our internal components rather than Cedar.

While babysitting firmware updates I was just sitting here pondering a use of the credit and thought I'd give you guys a rattle to see what fell out. I didn't expect it to be like one of those horror movies where the guy opens the door and the light pours in on 500 aliens that slowly turn to look at him.

Times are tough again,I've been looking for someone with a spare $300 to burn so I can buy the spindle controller and take my wife out for a nice evening. I am willing to offer discounted services. I will provide $500 worth of consultant services for your $300. My usual fee for consulting is $50/hr. so you will get 10 hours of "expert" advice. If I worked for AIG you'd be lucky to get past my voicemail for a piddly $300.

Robert...
Get one of those new Z brackets that use the PRS type extrusions. Then you can change to all kinds of new goodies...

Gary, that was my original plan, but after this March Madness that's on hold for a while. I decided to try and trade my 12" Z for my second Z for a 6" PRT Z for now.

I second the Super Zero, but I don't think your shopbot credit will work at the Morris Dovey website. ;)

You might need a sign to hang outside your shop and it just so happens that there are a few here that might be able to help you out!

You could always stock up on collets, collet nuts, and/or router bits.

Replacement pinion gears?

Remote START button?

Robert,
How about the new Shopbot tool changer?
Everyone should have one of these.

But you will have to add a few more zero's to the suggested spending budget for that option.
