Good afternoon to all you shopbotters I know and those I have yet to meet.
After 6 years operating my family dimensional sign and woodwork shop, I have decided to close my fun business and move on. The kids decided to follow their individual passions so We're empty nesters now and not thinking of hiring, training and rebuilding all over again. Plus the low temperatures and high Chicago taxes convinced us to reverse the situation and move to higher temps and lower taxes.
I'll no doubt stay in touch with several of my shop bot friends either here or directly but wanted to let everyone know Its been a great time, met great people, and wish everyone of you all the best.
Our plan is to move to Albuquerque hopefully before the winter arrives so we're liquidating and gearing up to make the transition to the southwest.
Yes my 2003 vintage PRT120 with 5 HP columbo, vac hold down and dust collection system plus the Ascension/Mach controller/software is up for sale along with many other useful tools suitable for a custom woodwork and sign shop for those who might be interested.

I have put a more detailed post under the For Sale header and would welcome any calls or e-mails from interested parties in the entire set up and all tools and web site or specific tools of interest at fair prices.

For the forseeable future I'll be setting down the tools but retaining many good memories of the past 6 years adventure.

Be well and Bot On!

hopefully after you get settled in your new place you will feel the itch to get back into it and if nothing else get a smaller buddy to do hobby stuff.

I don't detect mixed emotions. So congratulations on your decision. I moved away from my native New England 6 years ago and haven't looked back.
Enjoy and stay well.
