Anyone have a file (dxf or such) for a 5 marble aggravation game? I have one for four marble and can't find for 5.

Thanks

That is exactly it! What size do you cut it? I use Vcarve and was wondering what size you cut or what size you make the marble holes. I just played it for the first time and thought it would be an excellent Christmas present.

Thanks so much.

Not to make myself look stupid but I was interested in downloading the file. I downloaded the file but can not open it. Can someone tell me the correct method in downloading and opening the file? I have the file but can't get Aspire to open it. Aspire tells me it can't open it. When I download the screen tells me it doesn't know what type of file it is. I know I must be doing something wrong but don't know what it is.

Daryl,

Right click and save the file. Next, rename it from the .unk to .dxf and you can import it into Aspire. I just tried it and it works fine.

Hope this helps.

last time I cut it I just did a drill center peck with a 1/2" ball end cutter. .125 deep I think??.... you could scale the drawing to just about any size you want, the spacing and layout will just follow along.

Ed, I did as you said with no luck at all. Aspire starts by clicking on the file downloaded but no luck!? After clicking on the file Aspire says it "failed to open file". What are you renaming it to? I have renamed it but no luck. Any suggestions?

Start Aspire, create a new project. Then IMPORT the file.

Call the file anything you like but make sure the extension is .DXF.

Daryl, Bob...
I just tried this and it works fine as per Ed's instructions. You dont have to rename the file, you need to make sure that the file extension is ".dxf" not ".unk"

I have tried to import the file as: import vectors, bitmap and component. All were failures! I have renamed the file but it never shows up as a DXF at any time I try to import it. Okay so what am I doing wrong??

Hey I finally got it!!! Sucess at last!!! I never noticed the ability to "save as type" down at the bottom of the window when I tried to save the file. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it!

Here is another thought about the trouble some folks are having......

When you RIGHT click on the file, after downloading, you select RENAME in order to change the file name OR the extension. The extension is the part after the dot. .XLS or .WPD or .SBP for example.

IF you have Windows set to not show you the file extension, then you will not see that the file that you downloaded was named with a .unk extension.

Using the save as will also work.

The file opens in PowerCADD
and in Ashlar Vellum Cobalt.
I looked around in two cad program I have and couldn't find celtic knots but I did find this:

8878
I just typed across the keyboard and these came out as fonts but I convert them to outlines and have totally editable designs.
Cool.

I wanted to thank you again for the file. I hope to post a picture of the board soon. I made it a six player on one side and a 4 player on the other and am making a box to hold the marbles and dice.
