Hi all.
I am using VCarve Pro for the first time, and carving an Orthodox crucifix into inch thick mahogany.
I have no idea what the best / easiest way to apply a finish to this is.
Any words of advice are welcome.

Where will the cross end up? Indoors or out.

I suppose that would have been useful to start with.
It will be indoor at our church.
IMHO, it's hard to beat a simple rattle can lacquer finish for quick and simple interior finishes... you can readily find different sheens at the big box stores. It's also very easy to refresh the finish if needed... simply steelwool and spray!
