5 X 12 SHOPBOT PRS ALPHA

(bought 2012, ~$25k; updated and maintained over the years, routers, stepper motors and or gears etc)

features:
- 5 x 12 cutting surface
- 2 cutting heads:
- spindle (HSD MT 1073, 3 HP, not functioning, DEAD, ~$2k for new 3HP spindle)
- router (Porter Cable 7518 - bought 2018

- PVC dust collection system - 5 zone (we ran it with 2 FEIN vacuums)


We have outgrown our Shopbot and now own a heavier duty CNC with tool changer etc. It was a great machine and got TAXA into business and more.

One question I did not ask on the PM... How much of the 5' can you touch with the HSD Spindle? I often use 61" of my 60" bed and w 2 heads, I have to assume one of them can't get to one side of the table and the other is unable to reach the opposing side. True?
