That looks great, I need to do a steam engine boiler front, its on my 'list'! :D Russ
Thanks Russ for the kind words
Hey! That looks great! GREAT job! And I love the paint!
Came out really nice Bob! I'm lazy and lousy with a brush--I probably would have pocketed holes and used Real bolts :)
Great Job!
Very cool, I could see this in many locations from homes to restraunts. Far more interesting than a painting of a propeller.
Where's the rest of the plane? That looks excellent! I have seen something similar where someone made a steam engine front, then painted a tunnel on the wall to make it look like it was coming out of a tunnel.
Maybe you could paint the wall to look like this is sticking out of the wall:eek:
Thanks guys
Scott I'm not so good with the brush myself , made paint mask with vinyl cutter , made the painting easy
Jack The rest of the plane would not fit in my small shop
That is supper nice... bet you could sale those to local pilots...
would visit the local airport (not the commercial side or commercial ones) where the average Joe takes lessons type.
Bob - Looks fantastic! What kind of stock did you use?
The blades are from a 2X4 TJ's 2 sided machining , the center hub 6 layers of 3/4" mdf 2 slices , the engine cowl 3/4" sign foam , added was a pc. of 3/4" ply to back with a 3" screw thru to hub
