21"x78"x1.75" alder panels for a entry door set. Carving is .625 deep with a .25" ballnose. left panel shows rough pass 1:32 hrs right panel shows finish pass 9:45 hrs. I will finish these sides, flip and repeat the toolpaths. James booth modeled the file as we do not have Aspire...YET.

The machine I have is a pr with a prt z axis and control box...I guess 10 yrs old? but still runs very well, a great testament to the products Shopbot makes. I bought this machine from Ken Zey and as he said when he posted it for sale "...maybe not as pretty or as fast as the new machines but plenty 3d capable" and boy was he right!

Thanks for this post. This answers a question I have been kicking around for about a month now. I have some extra money to do some upgrades somewhere in my business and I was thinking maybe go for the 4G Board upgrade. I have a PRT with a Porter Cable Router that I think we got back in 2001 or 2002? We bought the Shopbot for one customer we were doing a ton of work for at the time, and it paid for itself in the first year. Since then I have moved 800 miles and brought the Bot with me and it is now in one half of my two car garage, but still does a Perfect job anytime I need it. The main reason I was afraid to upgrade was #1, I only use the tool once or twice a week now, and #2 if it ain't broke......don't fix it. Well, seeing your example it has made me realize that I just don't need to change a good working tool. However, Since I am a V-Carve user I think I may put the money into Aspire. Keep up the good work.
