Wrapping vector line instead of text

Does anyone know if you can wrap vector lines along a curve like you can wrap text along a curve. I am doing some scroll work with a Celtic knot pattern and I want wrap it along a curve.

Any help would be great.

Adobe Illustrator has vector distortion features (Liquify) that should allow you to do what you need.
