    Default Driver Question

I have a 2003 PRT pretty much the way it came out of the factory, no upgrades that I know of. My Z axis doesn't move either in the jog or move mode but the numbers on the screen show that it is "moving" to the new position and they stop moving when it reaches the desired position on the screen. No hint that the actual Z axis trying to move at all, no funny noises, nothing. I am guessing that the driver is probably gone. Any other suggestions?

Check all your connections. On your Wagos and other connectors try each wire individually.

when i bought my bot I had a driver thst was DEAD... nothing moved just dead, nota , but my box was using the IMS drivers.
Try swapping drivers around and see if the issue follows the driver...

I have checked my connections and they seem to be okay. Guess the next step would be to move a from another location motor and see if that works?

Problem solved. Operator ignorance was the cause. My old computer that was hooked to the control computer crapped out so I had to use another one. Didn't realize that the original Z axis driver was bad and had to change the settings to use the aux driver for the Z axis. Think that I am up and running now. Just for fun I hooked up the Z axis to the original driver and I now know what a bad driver sounds like. Wonder what other issues I will discover as I try to use it now.......

Save up a little money and get the 4g upgrade. Night and day difference.
