    Default Railing for log cabin

I milled the red pine logs for the railings with an Alaskan sawmill attachment to my Stihl 660.

The balusters were tenoned on the bot I still need to mortise the railings

Jack, it zips through pretty fast and the surface finish can be smoother than a band mill using ripping chain.

When possible I like to have the log going downhill the saw will pull itself right along.
Milling hardwoods is a bit slower but I get pieces you just can not buy at a distributer.

I have seen it on the Baileys website I have not personally used one but it seems for my application just adding more to a simple setup if I need super straight boards I run the straightedge on every cut. And for the cost I can buy another saw.
