    Default New 2014 Chicago Camp

The first ever Chicago Camp ShopBot will be Saturday, October 4 at Pumping Station: One in Chicago, IL. The day will include topic-based presentations, Q&As, and the infamous Show and Tell Session. The Handibot will also be demoed. Camps are free to attend and lunch is included.

Our host, Pumping Station: One, just purchased their PRS model ShopBot and are busy getting it ready for their members. (You do not need to be a member to attend the Camp.)

Attendees are encouraged to bring ShopBot projects to present during the Show-and-Tell session. Or if you do client commissions, bring photos to share. The Show and Tell session is a great way to learn from each other and show off your own projects.

    Saturday Schedule:
    8:30-9am: Morning sign-ing/Meet & Greet
    9am-noon: Morning presentation sessions
    Noon- 1pm: Lunch on us
    1pm-2pm: Show and Tell session
    2pm- 4pm: Afternoon presentation sessions

The day usually wraps up between 4-5pm.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. This helps us and our hosts with planning.

UPDATE: Chicago Camp is now sold out! Registration is closed. We are going to have a packed house this Saturday at Pumping Station: One!

    Details:
Address: Pumping Station: One, 3519 N. Elston Ave., Chicago, IL 60618
    - Here is a Google Map of the location: https://goo.gl/maps/p8cvJ

Parking: Chicago can sometimes be a drag to find parking. Though Pumping Station does not have its own parking lot, there is lots of street parking on all the side streets around N. Elston Ave. and W. Addison St. There are NO parking restrictions, too, which is helpful! Please give yourself enough time to find parking and still get to the Camp before 9am.

Schedule: Saturday morning sign-in is between 8:30- 9AM. Coffee and doughnuts are provided. We will begin promptly at 9AM so please arrive before then. Lunch is included around noon and the day should wrap up by 4:30PM.

Additional details: Morning sign-in will be downstairs and the presentations will occur upstairs. There will be signs in the entrance to direct you to the correct room. A few things you may want to bring are a notepad + pencil/pen or tablet computer, business cards, and camera.

See you this Saturday, October 4!
