Default V4G won't work on my Bot. What now?

Greetings. I have an old PRT 48x96 from the 90's. Homemade wooden table, all that jazz. It's a dinosaur. I have the computer tower control box with the old board/card, seen here.
    .
It's on its last leg. I've cooked one channel and when I cook another, it's toast. ShopBot no longer sells or repairs these boards and I understand why. So I went to upgrade to the V4G control board and ShopBot says I can't because my old machine has a ball screw Z drive and it won't work.

I know it's just a matter of time before I cook another channel. I'm wondering if any of you old-timers with an old Bot have found a work-around to keep your Bot up and running. There has to be a solution without having to buy a whole new machine.

I had an old PR that I put a 4g on it and it worked fine. It had a ball screw z and never stopped it from working.

I have a 4 G board and a prt Z axis that I'd sell . I'm located in Ontario Canada . I started with the old unistrut machine with the ballscrew Z axis . I upgraded the Z axis , then got a 4 G board and made a 40 volt power supply . Huge improvement to the machine . ---Then I got a new PRS and the 4 G board and Z axis has been taking up space

    Default Hello

    Hello Tuck.
If you have that old control board, I would be interested in buying it. Even with blown drivers. Chuck Herin 803 730 7212. Shopbot user for 28 years.
