Default Is there such a thing as a 120v single phase spindle?

OK, so this is probably a dumb question, but is there such a thing as a 120v single phase Spindle? All the ones I see on the Shopbot site are 220. Getting 220 over to the Shopbot will likely be expensive, for we would have to put in a new subpanel or more. We currently use a Router in a PRT96 4g, so the only 220 in the shop goes to the dust collector...

    Jeffrey,
There are VFD (variable frequency drives) that use 120VAC, but I have never seen one used with a spindle. At www.automationdirect.com, they list some VFDs that run off 120VAC, but the HP ratings are 1/2HP maximum.

    Jeffery,
I don't know about their application with spindles, but there are several wood lathes that use 120VAC VFDs. One that comes to mind is the 1.5 HP Jet 1642.
