    Default Rhino3d & MadCAM?

I've been playing around with the MadCAM plugin demo for Rhino. I really like the seamless integration of working inside of Rhino for gernerating toolpath(s) and code. And the tool path flexibility is awesome. It gives one that SolidWorks + high end plugin feel. Oh, and the price
!!! No, I don't work for MadCAM. However, being a demo, it only saves a max of 200 lines of code. Has anyone used the full (unlocked) version with SB? Any issues? Likes and/or dislikes?

BTW... I've forgotten my password. How do I get it?

    Looks pretty cool!
I unfortunately haven't upgraded to Rhino3...and don't have the $475 for MadCAM...but the screenshots look great! I also like the fact that it has 'remachining' or rest machining capabilities...that's hard to find in software under $2k.

I just received a 21 day unlock code. I'm cutting my first part as I write. I'll let you know how it works.

In a word, WOW!!! I've been able to create 3d toolpaths that climb cut the entire surface of my highly figured wood parts. Grain tearout is no longer an issue. I'm sold.

I have to give Joakim at MadCam a shout out. He was very patient with me in explaining how to best use the software. I am still using a demo version, but I don't think I have any limitations other than the 21 days.

I have tried lots of CAM packages, and friends have tried to teach me packages like mastercam, visualmill, artcam etc. , but the best interface for me was freemill - extremely simple. But Freemill or course had severe limitations. If I remember the packages correctly, MadCam offers toolpathing similar to Visualmill, but within Rhino. I could get around in Visualmill without much help, but I need some schooling for MadCam.

I am very much sold on the product now. From talks with Joakim, this product is evolving all the time. I believe it will offer everything that a stand-alone cam package does, but with the simple and familiar rhino interface.

    Hi Brady,
If I understand correctly what you mean by "remachining" & "rest" capabilities, then VS3D has those features (and is currently priced at $975).
