    Default Having A Ball!!

Here is a baseball we just finished up. It can be seen at Kauffman Stadium at their new mini golf course, Hole 1. It was built using styrofoam, a heavy coat of our sprayable plastic and 1 Shot paint. The sphere was cut on our hot wire machine. The facial features were cut by hand. The stitch work was designed using Apire 2.0 and cut with our Shopbot.

There is an opening on the side for the golf ball to travel through. It is sitting on a chunk of styrofoam to protect the 4 bolts that will hold it to the ground.

    Thanks for looking,

Hey Glen: Great piece of work. Too bad the designer didn't make the mouth the target for the golf balls-that would be wild!!!

looks kind of like a self portrait! lol
the painter did a great job also. Hopefully no little punk kid will come along and whack it with a golf club. Very nice job.

    Glen,

Nice job. You should send photos to some of the major league clubs. I bet you could sell some to them.

Very Nice! Just out of curiosity, How much time did it take to produce this and what does something like this sell for, if you don't mind sharing.

    Thanks,

    Carroll

Thanks fo all the comments. As for the durability: One of the MLB players could take a full swing at it and it will dent it but will not break it. Even the nose. (Great place to stick gum.) I would guess it took 30-40 hours to complete. $7-8000 range.
