Katrina
Does anyone know if there are/were any botters in Hurricane Katrina?

Yes: Paul Higham, an internationally recognized sculptor (www.virtualsculpture.org) has a studio downtown and does much work on his PRT96 with 12" Z.
He is safe in Baton Rouge, however the state of his home and studio is unknown.
I understand from Grant that there are not many users in that area.

There is a fellow 'botter in Raleigh, MS. Mister "DoorBot", Wes Mason.
Has anyone talked to him?
I've tried calling but no service due to the storm.

I've been in touch with a botter from lower MS...house still standing with downed trees.
I'll be hosting some family refugees for a while up here until they can get on their feet.
Imagine...losing most of your stuff, then you are not able to go back...your old place of business has been swept away and you have a 2yr old and one on the way...A serious bummer!

Dan, Thanks for asking. Funny, of all the thoughts that go through ones mind, I also thought of fellow Botters there.
Brady, Good for you. You’re a great man.
Wes Mason, Hey, Ya OK?

Guys,
Here is a link to a wood auction where proceeds will go to Katrina victims. People can put wood and woodworking items up for bid and bid on other items. The rules are contained in some of the posts.

Cheers!
